Ariella Bellingham ’21

Class of 2021, Art History major and Studio Art minor.

“I feel like the Art History curriculum prepared me for my current job at Bonhams,” says Ariella. “I have the confidence to progress in my role because of all the exercises Professor Bell had us do, observing and writing about art.”

About

Ariella began her career as a preview worker at Bonhams Auction House while attending MMC. After graduation, she was hired as a full-time administrator in both the African, Oceanic, and Pre-Columbian Art Department and Watches and Wristwatches Department. Shortly after, Ariella was asked to administer a third department, filling a vacancy in the Pop Culture Department.

Now an auction administrator, Ariella oversees pre-auction and post-auction processes, coordinating the shipping, contracting, and cataloging of auction items at Bonhams. Ariella also initiates online auctions, disseminating information and materials to aggregators.

Looking forward into her career, Ariella hopes to become a cataloger and then a specialist in the art auction industry.
