Internships and More
Our students intern at renowned NYC biomedical facilities, including the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medical Center, Columbia University, Hospital for Special Surgery, Museum of Natural History, and Rockefeller University. Alexis Keller ’18
Alexis Keller, a double major in Environmental Studies and Dance (with a Body, Science, and Motion concentration), completed a professional immersion internship at the United Nations. Read all about it here.
Gianna O’Connor ’21
I intern at The New York League of Conservation Voters, a non-partisan statewide nonprofit organization that fights for clean air, clean water, renewable energy, and open space through various political organizations. It is truly an organization that intertwines environmental advocacy with political action.
Madison Weisend ’20
Madison Weisend ’20 was awarded a highly prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program award for an English Teaching Assistantship in South Korea during the 2020-21 academic year. A Boren Scholar who studied Hindi, food security, and women’s rights in India during her sophomore year in 2017-18, Madison completed two majors at MMC: Environmental Studies and Politics & Human Rights.
