Yu Lu ’17

Class of 2017, Finance Major, Economics Minor

I came to Marymount by coincidence, but the benefits I have obtained studying business and finance at MMC far exceeded my expectations. The small class size allows professors to pay more individual attention when necessary. Needless to say, the faculty here really strive to provide the best learning experience and networking opportunities.

About

“During my senior year, I participated in the Bloomberg Trading Competition with several peers. Through this activity I was able to gain hands-on experience in trading and enhance my understanding of financial markets. In addition, because of faculty support, I was accepted to graduate programs in computer science at Pace University and New York Institute of Technology. I can hardly express how much I appreciate everything the school has given me.”

While at MMC, Yu interned at a financial firm on Wall Street and participated in the Investment Club at MMC.

Post MMC, Yu Lu joined Pace University, NYC for a Masters in Computer Science, and went on to a Ph.D program specializing in financial applications using technology.
