About

Eileen Doherty received her Ph.D. from Purdue University and teaches classes in Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Communication Campaigns, Health Communication, and Organizational Communication. Professor Doherty’s research interests include persuasion and strategic message design in applied health contexts, the communication of social support in the context of health issues, and friendship maintenance in adulthood.

Professor Doherty is also the faculty advisor to the MMC chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society. Please contact her with any questions about our chapter.
