MMC to Host the 2022 Global Educator Program

At Marymount Manhattan College, students hail from 50 countries around the globe. And now, thanks to an innovative educational exchange program, even more young people from parts of Asia, the Middle East, and off the coast of Africa will learn what our College has to offer and how they can become Griffins, too.

Each year, the college search and career development company Collegey brings high school counselors from foreign countries to the U.S. through its Global Educator Program (TGEP), which allows them to learn more about American culture and tour the nation’s colleges and universities. The goal: to encourage counselors to share what they discover with their students, give American institutions the chance to highlight their programs, facilities, and vision for an international audience, and underscore the power of diversity and cross-cultural connections.

Marymount will serve as a TGEP host for the first time when the program brings its 2022 cohort to campus on Tuesday, June 14. The counselors, representing schools in India, Singapore, Mauritius, and the United Arab Emirates, will be treated to a four-hour program that includes an MMC dance showcase, talks with students and the Admissions team, and an exploration of MMC’s video production facilities.

We’re excited to work with Collegey and eager to show our visitors how vibrant life at MMC is. Stay tuned for photos and more from the tour. And, if you’re an international student interested in applying to MMC, learn more about the resources we offer here.
