Student Iris Parke ’23 won First Place Award in Symposium

Iris Parke ’23 double major in BA Dance (Body, Science, and Motion) and a Biomedical Sciences won a First Place Award at highly competitive symposium for undergraduate research. 

Iris presented her project “Enrichment of Aromatic Carbon in Peat over Millennial Timescales by ATR-FTIR Spectroscopy” which she conducted with Professor of Chemistry Alessandra Leri. For her amazing work she was awarded a First Place Award in the Organic Chemistry category at the highly competitive symposium.
