Mary Brown came to Marymount Manhattan College as an adjunct professor in 1984; she became a part-time archivist and bibliographer for MMC’s library in 2001 and a full-time employee in 2005. She received her B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1979 and her Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1987. She is the author of several books and articles on Italian-American Catholicism and a regular reviewer for Choice, one of the library’s sources when it seeks to add books to its collection. She also works part-time in the archives of the Center for Migration Studies of New York, where many MMC students have done internships.
