MMC Contingent Represents at D.C. Climate March 2017 (PHOTOS)

Fifteen MMC students boarded early morning buses to Washington, D.C. for the massive environmental movement taking place in the country’s capital on April 29, 2017.

Over 200,000 activists, environmentalists, and scientists flooded Washington, D.C. in a massive effort to show the current administration (and the rest of the planet!) that environmental issues are among the most important, that climate change is indeed real, and that we demand global action. The uncharacteristically high heat added to the day’s message as the masses marched from Capitol Hill to the White House, with final speeches and performances around the Washington Monument.

Thank you to the Go Green Coalition and the Natural Sciences Department for the organization and support - it was a great trip!
