MMC Theatre Arts Alumna Brooke Ishibashi Books NBC Pilot

Congratulations to alumna Brooke Ishibashi who just landed the lead role on the new NBC pilot People are Talking, by producer and writer DJ Nash (Growing Up Fisher and Up All Night)!

People Are Talking, produced by DJ Nash and Will Parker, will examine race relations between an interracial couple. The show will examine several facets of traditional and non-traditional relationships. 

Brooke Ishibashi graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a degree in Theatre Arts, concentrating in Theatre Performance with a minor in Musical Theatre, in 2008. Alongside Brooke, fellow Theatre Arts alumni Melissa Benoist and Paige Spara have also scored roles in upcoming pilots in development for CBS and ABC Family respectively.

Brooke’s credits include:  Good Person of Szechwan (Public Theatre, La MaMa), Trade Practices (HERE), A Beautiful Day In November… (New Georges), Help Me To Make It (CTown), Takarazuka!!!
