June is Pride Month and this year, Marymount Manhattan College is joining the numerous organizations, schools, and companies in the annual NYC Pride March!
The first March was held in 1970 and has since become an annual civil rights demonstration. Over the years its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to illness, violence and neglect.
Are you interested in being part of our Griffins contingent? Well you have come to the right place!
The theme for this year’s Pride March is We Are Proud. The March will take place on Sunday, June 25th from 12:00-9:00 pm, but on average it takes a contingency 60-90 minutes to complete the entire route from the moment our group starts walking. The meeting time will be announced at a later date.
More information to follow in the coming weeks.
