An important part of the small liberal arts college experience involves a full-time undergraduate faculty that is fully engaged in the educational experiences of students, while furthering their own scholarship.

MMC has 95 full-time faculty members, of whom 95% have a terminal degree.

87 of the full-time faculty are tenured or are on a tenure track; 98% of these have a terminal degree.

54% of courses are taught by full-time faculty; the remaining 46% are taught by part-time faculty members.

The Challenge: To recruit and sustain a full-time undergraduate faculty that is fully engaged in the educational experiences of its students.
The Need: $5 million for faculty chairs and new full-time faculty positions.
The Solution: Fixed-term academic chairs would enable Marymount Manhattan to offer select faculty the opportunity to expand the academic capabilities they bring to the classroom, while enabling MMC to recruit outstanding new full-time faculty who would be fully engaged in the College community.
