After You're Accepted

Once you have been admitted, the Office of Admission will send you an official acceptance email + packet in the mail. It will include your acceptance letter and information on how to apply for financial aid as well as scholarship eligibility.

Students admitted to MMC for entry terms of Summer 2010, Fall 2010, and Spring 2011 will find MMC Enroll login information on the acceptance letter.

MMC Enroll is a Web site that allows full-time, degree seeking admitted students to apply for housing, register for classes, view orientation information, and review all information and deadlines about enrollment. These admitted students may login to mmcEnroll to complete the necessary steps to enroll at Marymount Manhattan College. Part-time and non-degree seeking students will receive all information in the mail or email regarding registration and enrollment. Contact the Office of Admission at 1-800-MARYMOUNT with any questions about your login information.

Pay the Enrollment Deposit

All accepted full-time students, with the exception of HEOP and non-degree seeking students, must pay a $200 tuition deposit (student ID# located on admit email or letter) to MMC no later than May 1 (fall/summer semesters) or December 1 (spring semester). This deposit is refundable upon written request to MMC prior to May 1 (fall/summer semesters) or December 1 (spring semester). This deposit reserves your place in the upcoming class and is credited toward the first term's tuition and fees.

Apply for Financial Aid

If you haven't yet explored your financial aid options, now's the time to learn about financial aid and how to apply for specific aid programs. You must complete the FAFSA after January 1 for consideration for need-based financial aid. MMC must receive the results of your FAFSA by March 15 (fall/summer semesters) or November 15 (spring semester) for priority consideration of all institutional funds, both merit and need based. Funds may still be awarded if available after this date.

Apply for Housing

Admitted students may apply for housing on MMC Enroll. Once you receive your login, please visit the site to begin the process. A non-refundable $500 housing deposit is required to secure housing and should only be submitted once your final decision has been made. If you have questions, please contact the Office of Residence Life at 212-774-0740 or email Residence Life.

Get Immunized

Before you can begin classes, you must provide the official Immunization Form or a letter from a doctor on official stationary. Students must review the immunization requirements and supply the appropriate documentation prior to registration. The Immunization Form should be sent to the Office of Admission.

Get a Jump Start

Jump Start is an optional summer program for incoming Fall semester students, which allows students to earn a few credits, arrive early to campus, and explore the city before the official start of the academic year. There are three parts to the program; a Themes in Humanities course, which will explore human nature in New York society in an interdisciplinary format, a Freshman Year Mentoring Seminar, which will review college skills for academic success and acquaint students with the New York City area, and cultural activities such as city tours and a Broadway play, which will further acclimate students to the city and the college community. Please contact Monica Colbert in Academic Advancement at 212-774-4820 or email the Center for Academic Advancement to learn more about this exciting opportunity. Applicants are encouraged to apply by May 14th as program space is limited.

Get Advised

All incoming students participate in academic advisement and registration. Your advisor will make sure you understand the registration process and help you make appropriate course selections. Registration instructions are available on MMC Enroll for accepted students.

Attend Orientation

Orientation is a mandatory program geared towards smoothing the transition to MMC for new students. You will be able to view tentative orientation schedules on MMC Enroll. You will receive a final schedule upon arrival on campus. For questions or concerns about Orientation, please call 212-774-0750 or email rampuero@mmm.edu.

Get Insured

All full-time students at MMC are required to have health insurance. Many students are covered by their parents' insurance or other plans. Those who are not must purchase the College's basic plan through Aetna US Healthcare. International students are required to carry the College's basic plan.

You should always make sure that your plan covers you in New York City. If your current coverage is adequate, you must fill out a waiver form stating that you are insured by an outside agency. You may not be able to attend classes until this notification has been received by the College each year.

For more information about health insurance, contact the Office of Student Affairs at 212-774-0750.

Admitted International Students
