Defer Admission

Couldn’t join us in the Fall? Then, let’s get started on the deferral to Spring.

Students may request a deferral from the fall to spring semester only. You must request the deferral no later than the first week of September.

Note: If you are a first-year student and plan to attend another college or university in the fall, you may not request a deferral and must complete a new application as a transfer student. Your scholarship and financial aid eligibility will be reviewed and recalculated under our transfer guidelines. It is very likely that there will be changes to your spring financial aid award.

If you defer to spring and cannot attend, you must complete the steps on the first-year or transfer applicant page to reapply for a future term. You must notify the Office of Admission no later than the last week of January if you plan to reapply for another term to assure that your documents submitted can be applied to the new application.

Spring Deferral Requirements

  • Spring Semester Defer Request Form found on your personalized Admissions Portal
  • Official final high school transcript with graduation date (if not previously submitted)
  • Most recent official college transcripts (transfer students)
